The main differences between the two is that the iPhone screen is all touch and is bigger.But the battery life on an iPhone is worse than a blackberry.An iPhone would be faster if you got one from the 4-the 5. And if you did get the 5 you would have better coverage because it comes with 4g but any other iPhone then there wouldn't be much differences to the blackberry .IPhone 3G to 5  will cost more than a blackberry they would range from about £150 to £550.A blackberry curve to the Z10 would range from about £30 to £300.

He should get an iPhone because when he is at home he can connect to his WiFi and email pictures.Also when he is out  he can get 3g signal so he can still email the photos.And if he got the new iPhone 5 which comes with 4g it would be even faster.Also with the iPhone he could download apps in the app store from anywhere to edit his pictures.Or he could get a blackberry which has the 3g so he could email from anywhere but it is much slower also there isn't apps he could download to edit the photos.
