3g-means that you can connect to the internet when you don't have a wifi connection and send emails and do everything just like you had wifi connection.It will cost more money for a phone with 3g and you dont have 3g signal all of the time.However it costs alot more to use abroad

Wifi-you can connect to the internet with your phone laptop ipads etc up to 10 to 20m's away from your internet box.You have to pay monthly to have the internet rooter.

Bluetooth-is when you connect to somebody's phone and you can send them music,pictures,videos.You have to be next to them to do this though as the range is not very good.

sms-is where you can text and ring people just from using the connection to whatever network you are with like o2.The range on this is very good and works in most places and every phone has it however to ring or text people abroad it costs alot more money.
